Los Angeles County Fair Wine Competition Gold Medal Wine Tastings

The 2019 Los Angeles International Wine Competition Celebrates its 80th Year and showcases the finest domestic and international vintages through wine tasting and seminars at the Wine, Beer & Spirits Marketplace. An extensive wine education program is available to the nearly 1.2 million visitors featuring consumer-driven classes, tastings and displays of the award-winning wines.

With the Los Angeles International Wine Competition committed to educating the public about wine, the Fair’s wine education program features industry experts with extensive knowledge about wine growing and selection, wine tasting as well as wine and food pairings. These Wine Education classes are offered Wednesdays – Fridays at 7:00 pm, and Saturdays & Sundays at 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.

Stroll through the lush Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens while enjoying vintages poured by world-class wineries from Mendocino, Sonoma, Napa, and beyond, and food from 50 of the finest regional finest food purveyors. The tasting is accented by various music groups performing a variety of styles and all ticket holders are encouraged to participate in the Charity Auction.

Sonoma County Harvest Fair

In 2019, the Harvest Fair will mark its 45th year of showcasing our county’s grand harvest which continues to result in world-class wines, award-winning beer and a plethora of culinary wealth. In 2015, with over 26,000 votes, the Harvest Fair was voted the Best Annual Festival of Sonoma County bestowed by The Press Democrat readers. Each October, thirsty travelers from across the entire US, are beckoned to Santa Rosa to participate in a complete farm to table experience, inspired by the county’s hard-working farmers, ranchers, vintners and producers.

The epicenter of the Harvest Fair is still the Tasting Pavilion, featuring innovative cuisine paired with some of the area’s best wine. With over 100 Sonoma County wineries participating (with over 300 wines), even the most experienced connoisseur is sure to find a new favorite. The Grand Harvest Tasting ticket offers guests the chance to savor all of the award-winning wine and food from this year’s Professional Wine and Food Competitions. Each day will offer a slightly new food pairing – so you may find yourself coming back for more.
