Held on June 8th & 9th in San Diego (CA), the 16th Annual Critics Challenge was an opportunity to showcase ours to the top wine critics in the world.  It brings together an internationally experienced group of wine journalists to evaluate, score and comment on wine submissions from across the globe. Excerpts from the judges’ tasting notes are published alongside the medal-winning wines.  The Critics Challenge is organized by Robert Whitley, who writes the nationally syndicated Wine Talk column for the Creators Syndicate. Judges were recruited from major magazines and newspapers across the world including the USA, France, South Africa. See the 2019 list of judges here!

Our Results:

2016 Malbec  – Gold 93 points

– Powerful, mineral, and floral, with a juicy core and the kind of grip that just begs for grilled meat – Joe Roberts

2015 Cabernet Sauvignon  Barrel Reserve – Gold 90 points

– This shows some finesse and character, where the ripe fruit is present but the palate has a richness and smoothness of tannin – Panos Kakaviatos
