Plush aromas of a deep blackberry essence mix with hints of smoky oak and rhubarb tart. A silken texture reveals layers of flavors that contribute to the complexity of the wine. Dark berries, cherry, pomegranate, and mocha mingle with subtle pepper and just a touch of mineral and eucalyptus. Supple tannins and gentle threads of oak integrate seamlessly to create a solid structure.

Our 2011 Cabernet Bordeaux Blend, composed of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec and 12% Petit Verdot, was produced from another cooler than normal growing season similar to the growing season that created our 2010 Cabernet Bordeaux Blend. Clusters stayed on the vines for a long time assuring great flavor development. Warm fermentation temperatures increased the concentration of aroma and flavor attributes extracted from the skins.
This blend captures the essence of four Cabernet clones (two American and two French) as well as French clones of Malbec and Petit Verdot. Each varietal and each clone are individually fermented and separately aged in 100% French oak for 22 months.
